More Progess Made on Novel

I am finally making some progress on my novel known as “Passage,” though I am way behind on my original plan to have it finished before my Spring Break, which has come and passed. At least, I managed to complete two chapters over that break. At least I can say that though I have not been writing I have been plotting the series with further depth, which has been a two-edged sword.

Why? It has helped me better understand where I am going and has expanded my series into five books which will allow me to fully delve into my characters; however, it also poses several questions in regards to those characters and various events. I want to keep it all, but I have to ask myself: “Is this character really necessary?” or “Does another character already fulfill this role?”. Then there is a character slotted to die, who is trying to pull his way of the list. Sigh, so many hard decisions, but in the end I’m sure it will be worth it.

Now it is time to create a new game plan/time line for the completion of “Passage.” Hopefully, it will prove more responsible.
